After my first playthrough I went full investigative mode and have spent my second playthrough and now third searching for context clues and cleverly hidden suggestions. Bringing those two together ontop of trying to 100% has gotten me about 9 hours so far. There's a large psychological aspect to Little Nightmares that partially lies within the game and partially within ourselves.
(One quick side note: Why can't you just skip the credits? The credits are super long and I couldn't even skip them!) Referring to your sidenote, while the credits are unskippable you can speed the scrolling speed up quite a bit by moving your joysticks in the up or down direction (I can't remember which), with similar mapping for keyboard controls.Īs for the length, it is pretty short, but meticulously short. I hoped difficulties would be a thing but sadly they aren't. Then you could replay the game a couple of times and actually have a somewhat different experience. The thing that would make this game a lot better in my opinion is if there were difficulties. Ofcourse if you're a fan of the game you're probably going to play it a couple of times to get 100%, and you might play it with a couple of friends too. I would say 20 bucks is a bit high priced for how long this game is. But there are still some things that I am missing. So first of all I wanna say that I do really enjoy this game. Maybe some secret area I had not noticed.Ĭan they bring it around with free DLC levels? Maybe add a MP addon that allows two player to have to work together to solve actually difficult puzzles ? Yes but at its face value the game itself failed to deliver in my eyes. I ultimately chose to keep the game, and play through again and see if maybe I missed something. As soon as the plot becomes clear to you, you spend a whole "Chapter" in parkour sequences with little to no puzzle elements. I was very torn about whether I should refund or not, As to me they branded the art style, neglected to create a challenging puzzles, and failed to deliver a satisfying experience. I personally love the games art and playstyle, but the puzzles were not even difficult, there's no difficulty setting or real change in how you complete levels. But for a puzzle platformer to only have an average playtime from start to finish of 2.5 hours is atrocious. Most platformer or puzzle games can get away with around 8 hours of playtime and be ok, maybe even 6. But it's listed as a Game here, and thus its value can be broken down and viewed as such.
We didn't buy a piece of art from a gallery though, we bought a puzzle platformer game. Do you stare at a painting worth 10,000 dollars for 1000 hours? No. You can't put a price on things like the time it takes for you to finish it. Originally posted by Ryan:You paid money for it.
